Tibisay Zea is a foreign correspondent for The World based in Mexico City, covering a wide range of issues across Latin America, including immigration, national security, trade, and culture. She was previously based in Boston, where she worked as a local reporter for several years. She created and hosted SALUD, a podcast about health in Latino communities, and developed a reporting guide on historically marginalized communities as a fellow at the MIT Center for Constructive Communication. Originally from Venezuela, she studied journalism in Spain and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Outside of journalism, she is a classically trained pianist and singer who enjoys performing music from Latin America.
