Laura Preftes was in her early 30s when she fell in love with a guy at work named Jon. She was in her late 30s when he was diagnosed with lung cancer and passed away. 

Friends, work and widow support groups couldn’t help Laura through her grief. Then, one night, she saw a movie on TV called “Practical Magic” that hit very close to home.
