Amadou Bagayoko and Mariam Doumbia have toured the world as “the blind couple from Mali,” performing their signature style of Malian blues alongside U2, Damon Albarn of Blur and Manu Chao.
Their latest album, “Confusion,” has a new, funkier vibe. Amadou & Mariam stopped by Studio 360 to play some new tunes and chat — with the help of an interpreter — about their surprising musical influences.
