Preschool program in rural Mozambique helped orphans and vulnerable children.
Twins Samuel and Pedro, 5-year-old orphans cared for by their grandmother, attend the Escolinha Comunitaria (community-based pre-school) in Guemulene Village in Xai Xai District of Mozambique.
BOSTON — A new World Bank report released today shows that Save the Children's preschool program in Mozambique helps children in rural Africa thrive and has a positive ripple effect on their family, too.
“The study, rare in Africa, has thrown light on the possibilities that we in developing countries can explore to give our children a much better future," Mozambique's Minister of Education H.E. Zeferino Martins said in a press release today.
