More tumbi!
You probably thought that Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" couldn't get any more infectiously awesome than it already is.
Wrong.
All it needed was some tumbi, a single-stringed instrument from the Punjab region of North India. In the hands of a young man from Florida — who performs under the name Tumbibeatbreaker — the tumbi's signature pluck and twang turns "Get Lucky" into a Punjabi pop masterpiece. It's pretty short, but a full-length remix seems to be in the works.
Enjoy.
Somebody has got to get Tumbibeatbreaker in a room with this girl, who reinvented Rihanna's "Rude Boy" using a traditional Punjabi drum called a "dhol."
It's meant to be.
