Egypt’s military-backed interim government swore in a new cabinet Tuesday. The new line-up includes General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi as deputy prime minister.

General Sisi led the coup that ousted the democratically-elected Islamist President Mohammed Morsi.

Among those who are feeling the impact of all the turmoil in Egypt are the thousands of refugees from Syria who had been welcomed by the Morsi government without restrictions.

Now, the new government is requiring visas and threatening to arrest those who don’t have one.
