Mexican marines have arrested the leader of the Zetas drug cartel outside the border city of Nuevo Laredo. They did it without a shot being fired. But his capture could lead to violence within the cartel.
Mexican authorities dealt a heavy blow against the brutal Zetas drug cartel by arresting its leader. Mexican marines intercepted Miguel Angel Trevino Morales in a pick-up truck outside the border city of Nuevo Laredo. They captured him without a shot being fired.
The arrest, however, could lead to more internal cartel violence as members of his organization could fight among themselves for the spoils.
Anchor Marco Werman discusses the arrest of Zetas kingpin with reporter Franc Contreras in Mexico City. Contreras says such a capture is rare. And it’s the top news story across the country.
