Britney Spears is on the upswing, for those out of the loop. She’s out of the hospital, where she was held for psychiatric evaluation in January, and set to appear soon on the sitcom “How I Met Your Mother.” She’s working – a great change from partying and rehab. And as always, we are interested – Britney-watching is a national pastime. She is our pop star – in her life, we see reflected all the pathos of our celebrity-obsessed culture.
