Farmed salmon have long been on the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s list of fish to avoid. But now, a new fish-farming operation is claiming to have cleaned up the way that salmon are farmed.
A new study by The Environmental Health Perspectives journal points out the dangers of persistent organic pollutants in farmed salmon. Yet the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch Program just approved one kind of salmon farming.
