Women are facing many challenges amid the COVID-19 pandemic, including those who are pregnant. The World’s reporter Elana Gordon moderated a discussion with Ana Langer, Professor of the Practice of Public Health and Director of the Women and Health Initiative at the Harvard T.H. Women make up the majority of healthcare workers around the world who have had to deal with the rising number COVID-19 cases. Women also face a unique set of challenges in terms of societal expectations and access to healthcare and education. Pregnant women are also dealing with the dilemma of whether or not to vaccinate, and how to keep themselves and their babies safe.
