Protests are getting under way in Egypt on what is expected to be an important weekend in the country. Carol Hills talks to an Egyptian in Cairo, describing the mood there.

Today clashes broke out between supporters and opponents of President Mohammed Morsi in the country’s north.

There are reports of several people dead, including a US citizen.

Mass rallies are also scheduled for Sunday.
