Research shows that babies conceived during the spring growing period, when levels of agrichemicals in the water are at their highest, are more likely to have birth defects.

In the spring and early summer, levels of pesticides in water increase. One weed killer in particular, Atrazine, shows up in surprisingly high amounts.
