Yesterday marked the anniversary of the creation of Israel in 1948 and thousands of Palestinians marched to mark what they call the “Nakba” or the “catastrophe.” Ever year, Palestinians protest this date. Sunday, thousand of protesters marched on Israel’s borders with Syria, Lebanon and Gaza and over a dozen were killed in clashes with Israeli troops.
