American folk singer Pete Seeger is being honored in Sweden today as part of Music Freedom Day. Anchor Lisa Mullins speaks with Seeger’s grandson, Tao Rodriquez-Seeger, a musician in his own right.
There was also some great music at Stockholm’s Concert Hall in Sweden today.
It was in honor of the recipient of this year’s Freemuse Award.
He is American folksinger and songwriter Pete Seeger.
Mister Seeger wasn’t there to accept the award.
But he was ably represented by his grandson, Tao Rodriquez-Seeger, a musician in his own right.

Rodriquez-Seeger says that his grandfather never slowed down, even when he was blacklisted in the mid-50s.
Tao Rodriguez-Seeger is in Stockholm today to collect the Freemuse Award on behalf of his grandfather — Pete Seeger.
