Faith and Fair Game news analyst Matt Pack take a look at John McCain’s recent struggle to find the ideal theme song for his presidential campaign.
The Republicans aren’t just getting trounced in primary voter turnout, they’re getting killed in rally music too. Mike Huckabee was using “More Than A Feeling” by the band Boston during his rallies until the band asked him to stop – turns out the views of an 80’s guitar band don’t really mesh with that of a former Evangelical preacher. And things have been even worse for Senator McCain. First he played some John Cougar Mellencamp, but the Coog asked him to stop. Then McCain went to the theme from Rocky, but was told politely by record producers that the song wasn’t his property. Then the campaign even considered using ABBA, but they decided not to without asking they were so sure the answer would be no. Fair Game’s Matt Pack joins Faith Salie with more on this.
