Anchor Lisa Mullins explains how British scientists think they’ve figured out what happened to the ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and it involves an ancient clay tablet and an asteroid.
The tablet was written in characters which took decades to decipher. British scientists say the writing has observations originally made 5,000 years ago in Mesopotamia and he describes a large asteroid going through the side. These are actually his notes as it was happening, and because it includes the layout of the sky and where the planets were, the notes can be dated into within 10 minutes of when it happened. This scientist says the asteroid was a mile in diameter and moved at the speed of a jet so when it crashed somewhere in Austria it created a giant mushroom cloud and reached a temperature of more than 700 degrees and also created an arch of fire, which scientists believe may be the fire and brimstone of Sodom and Gomorrah.
