On Sunday, US President Donald Trump named Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry to be the envoy to the semi-autonomous territory of Greenland. Landry reiterated the president’s claim that control of Greenland is a national security priority for the US. Greenland is a territory of Denmark, which is a NATO ally of the US.
