Until recently, the vehicles cruising around major Southeast Asian cities were brands most anyone around the world would recognize. Lots of Toyotas and Hyundais. A smattering of Fords. The occasional Tesla. But about two years ago, everything changed. From Jakarta to Bangkok, totally unknown brands — with unheard of features — appeared almost overnight.
