The British government is giving China until Aug. 20 to clarify its plans for a new mega-embassy outside of central London. The blueprints submitted by Beijing for approval included areas in the new building that were left blank, apparently for “security reasons.” But plenty of experts say that allowing China to build a new embassy complex in this part of London would be a security risk for the UK.
