Over the past few weeks, Greenland has been in the spotlight as Donald Trump renewed his interest in taking possession of the world’s largest island. But this comes at a time when Greenland’s Prime Minister Muté B. Egede is discussing independence from Denmark. The World’s Carolyn Beeler spoke to Maaliaaraq Engell. She grew up in Greenland and is a member of its Indigenous Inuit community. Now, she is a student at the University of Copenhagen.
