Ferhad Feyssal remembers when villagers gathered around the campfire every winter in the Kurdish region in Syria while a danûk, or big pot, cooked bulgur wheat. The memories are so vivid to Feyssal that he decided to name his band Danûk. The World’s April Peavey first brought us their story in June.
