A Dutch court has overturned a 2021 case that ordered the oil giant Shell to cut its greenhouse emissions down by 45% before 2030. The 2021 ruling against the fossil fuel industry giant was considered a big win for climate activists and set a precedent in litigating corporations on their emissions.
