Reintroducing an ancestor of cattle to the Scottish Highlands

A herd of long-horned animals resembling cattle are being released into the Scottish Highlands. The hope is that they’ll fill the ecological role once played by the aurochs, an extinct wild ancestor of today’s grazing livestock.
