Apple has lost a long-running court battle with the European Union and now must pay the Irish government 13 billion euros ($14.4 billion) in back taxes. It’s part of a larger EU effort to crack down on tax incentives it deems as so-called “sweetheart deals.” But Ireland isn’t pleased with the court ruling.
