Southeast Asia relies upon the Mekong River for fish and rice growing. Eleven dams currently block the Mekong before it even leaves China. Now Cambodian officials are pushing ahead with a mega-project, funded by Beijing, that would permanently alter the river’s flow. Their downstream neighbors are worried it will mean less water for them. The World’s Patrick Winn reports from Bangkok.
