Mckayla is an audio engineer and musician from Southern New Hampshire. Prior to running the sound board and mixing features at The World, she drove live national-international news shows Here & Now from WBUR and NPR and On Point from WBUR and APM. At WBUR, she also mixed and ran sound for local news programs like Radio Boston and NPR news magazine shows Morning EditionWeekend Edition, and All Things Considered. In addition to shaping radio broadcasts, Mckayla has done concert and live event sound as an audio technician at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston. Her piano and vocals can be heard on the weekends when she directs a band in her hometown. She has a bachelor’s degree in Music Production & Engineering and a minor in Acoustics and Electronics from Berklee College of Music.
