Janine Mendes-Franco

I'm a communications consultant, blogger, mother, writer, gardener, wife and musician, though not necessarily in that order. I believe in the power of words and the importance of kindness.  Oh ... and the occasional raising of the eyebrow that is the trademark of any West Indian Mother worth her salt.  My most recent project as a film producer was a short, "After Mas", which won the Jury Prize for Best Local Short at the Trinidad + Tobago Film Festival 2013. I am the Caribbean regional editor, based in Trinidad and Tobago, for Global Voices.
